Octave 3.8.0-rc1: comments

After extracting the tar.gz file I saw there is a bootstrap script and
a configure script.
I guess people getting this file should only use the configure script,
but if I run the bootstrap (I did it cause I used to compile from
mercurial repo :S) I get

./bootstrap: Error: --no-git requires --gnulib-srcdir

Do not know if this is a problem, I am just reporting it.

Everything looks OK besides that.
Spanish translations seem quite complete!
