I cloned octave from savannah. Is it different from that is on bitbucket. Where is the latest development going on?

Hi, this is good. Please do note that we will participate as a project
inside GNU not as an independent mentoring organization.
Also the code you should be looking at is the one in this branch
https://bitbucket.org/carandraug/octave/commits/all/13d1e9bfa362/branch(%22pkg%22)

There is already quite some advances (you will find pkg a lot simpler
there) and you should try to continue form there or improve them if
you see any opportunity.
