Build error on Ubuntu 12.10

Hi, all.

Basically I did:
sudo apt-get install gnome-common
sudo apt-get install flex
sudo apt-get install bison
sudo apt-get build-dep octave
hg clone http://www.octave.org/hg/octave
./bootstrap
./configure
make

And finally got:
http://paste.ubuntu.com/5605339/

Well I do know that this kind of issue can be fixed by installing some
additional libraries.
I guess it shows that the configure check is missing something.
