Please don't "fix" this problem by including unistd.h twice in some
Octave source file.  Try to find out why including it once doesn't
work and report the problem to the gnulib maintainers so it can be
fixed properly.

If I were only able to.... The technical details are beyond me - c, c++ and autotools etc is not quite my cup of tea. And this is very MinGW specific. But I remember that Benjamin Lindner sorted it out, got swamped in the details, and reported what he had it in this ML. I'll try to track down his messages (I think 2 years ago or so) and see if I can make something out of it for the gnulib devs.
