it worked for me right now:

this is on Fedora 17, with git 1.7.11.
What happens when you access this URL in the browser? It should display
the qterminal repository browse page:
https://code.google.com/p/qterminal/
Could you run
strace git clone https://code.google.com/p/qterminal/
perhaps that would reveal why is the SSL connection failing.
