Just looking for a way to eliminate the need for Platypus.
In any event, after experimenting, I figured it out
tell application "Terminal"
do script quoted form of POSIX path of (path to me) &
"Contents/Resources/bin/octave; exit"
end tell
I have a couple more minor things to work out and I'll no longer had a need for
the Platypus share-ware.
