I added "64-bit octave" as a project. My problems can rarely be solved in a
straightforward manner with only 2 GB of memory. Vectorization is a beautiful
thing; rather than breaking problems up into 2 GB chunks, better to make Octave
work in 64-bit architectures. I can develop on a 64-bit Mac OS-X.
starting from
http://www.gnu.org/software/octave/doc/interpreter/Compiling-Octave-with-64_002dbit-Indexing.html#Compiling-Octave-with-64_002dbit-Indexing
as a reference
cheers,
Tom
