If you use fink then you can edit octave-gui.pro and replace
'-L/opt/local-native/lib' with '-L/sw/lib'. If you use macports replace it with
'-L/op/local/lib', if you don't use either '-L/usr/local/lib'. However, I'm
not sure it will make any difference.
