Hello

I can import svg logo file into inkscape 0.48 in my computer.
I can see the svg logo correctly on Opera 11.0.
The image I saw is the same as that of logo.pdf.

BTW, is the logo different from that of icon?
The icon file I have used for my desktop that was previously uploaded by Fotios. is attached

Are you sure you exported it correctly? I only see a black block.
Did you try with Inkscape?
Yes, in Inkscape I do see the basic blue and orange part of the logo,
but the rest is missing. The rest is the files that the svg is
referencing (go read the source of the svg yourself and you'll see
what I mean). As a pure principle of information theory, I know the
svg can't be smaller than the png or the jpg. ;-) There's stuff
missing. I don't see a full export option in Inkscape though. Perhaps you can print to file and we can use the generated ps or pdf to scale
it?

If with the rest you mean the text i removed it ;D. If you want the text just tell me. This is the file that has only the application icon, that
is the blue ellipse with the orange rounded squares.

I also attach a pdf exported from my inkscape .svg file.

Good! Thats the way it should be.

Regarding the logo/icon difference: Usually a logo has the product name with well defined style (colors, fonts, format, etc) like the one i sent in png. The product name is usually combined with a pic that is used as the application icon. In general designers that work for big companies make a <product id> (20 - 70 pages) where they define all these things in detail. The design id is then used as the rule for creating all kind of promotion (from web pages to tshirts and cups).
