My install placed mac.r in the Fink path and in a special location (see below).
From ".../src", the following lines do not report anything :-(
$/Developer/Tools/Rez -t APPL -o octave /sw/lib/fltk-aqua/include/mac.r
$/Developer/Tools/Rez -t APPL -o fltk_backend.oct
/sw/lib/fltk-aqua/include/mac.r
