Regarding Mac OSX's Fink package manager ...At present the Fink package for SuiteSparse produces static libraries, which Fink's Octave package links to.
If the SuiteSparse package were modified to produce dynamic libraries instead, would Octave find them, or does it look specifically for the static ones?
