OK...I thought that (3.0.1 == mercurial head). Since that appears to not be the case, then I guess this bug is a non-3.0.1 bug.
We haven't been able to build CVS since before the 31-Jan-2008, when the sort patches were checked in. Thomas has done a lot more trying to get this resolved than I have, and sent out an email earlier today about what we have tried so far.
