Dear All,
If you'd like to see what Soren and I have been working on for
octave-forge and the package manager, please look at the test website
http://octave.dbateman.org I'm hosting on my home machine. This is a
fully functional version of what Soren and I propose to be used for the
new octave-forge web site and is heavily based on the current octave
style, with a couple of limitations imposed by our automatic build (no
grayed right justified nav menu for the current item).
I don't know if you'd want to, but you mentioned interest in not
having too much work for the maintenance; would you like to just have the
css point to octave's css and make a few modifications to fit with what
you've already got? That would conflict with John wanting the sites to
appear differently, though.
Also, if you want the id set for the current page (to get the graying and
right justification), that could probably be done via javascript rather
easily.
Also, how difficult would it be to just put the package function reference
at the bottom of the package page? There aren't significant details on
the regular package page, and the number of functions in each package
don't appear to be excessively large. The reason I ask is that I found
myself clicking that on each package page.
