Follow-up Comment #2:

I am able to reproduce the bug using the procedure described in comment #1 and
Octave 9.1 under ubuntu 20.04, but not under linux mint 22 (based on ubuntu
22.04). So this may be ubuntu version specific or due to the Qt version in
use.
