Follow-up Comment #7, bug #55916 (project octave):
I am pretty sure it is ghostscript that writes "1.7" ext level into file,
though as far as I know it does not use any features past 1.5 (or may be even
1.4). I guess we can sneak in
"-dCompatibilityLevel=1.4" if that helps.
