Follow-up Comment #15, bug #55584 (project octave):
Can an application explicitly decide whether to use a local or roaming
profile? I am not aware of something like this in the octave gui.
Regarding the preferences file, octave uses
home_dir/.config/octave/qt-settings. I do not know where history and package
installation information are stored.
