Follow-up Comment #12, bug #55447 (project octave):
In some OF packages, the decision had been made to pass flags naming libraries
in LFLAGS, since mkoctfile doesn't understand non-standard flags like
-framework (corresponding, I believe, to -l and -include together) on its
command-line. There were reports that Apple systems couldn't build these
packages before this decision.
