Follow-up Comment #3:
Ok, so the problem was that I was using a two screens setup, arranged side by
side and the right one taller than the other, and got confused. BTW I
discovered that changing the "outerposition" of a figure does nothing, and
that we need to handle multiple monitors better, but those are other bugs and
this one is actually invalid.
