URL: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?55406> Summary: [octave forge] (miscellaneous) relies on deprecated octave_config_info Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: mtmiller Submitted on: Sun 06 Jan 2019 02:23:46 PM PST Category: Octave Forge Package Severity: 2 - Minor Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Other Status: Postponed Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: dev Operating System: Any _______________________________________________________ Details: The miscellaneous package relies on octave_config_info for the EXEEXT feature. This is a string that determines the full file name of an executable program on the operating system, either an empty string or ".exe" on Windows. There should be a safe and reliable way to get this information to construct the full name of an executable program on the host operating system without relying on a private internal Octave function. Depends on bug #55401 for Octave to invent a replacement. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?55406> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
