Follow-up Comment #19, bug #50466 (project octave):
That's a step forward, thanks Gary+Rik. A remaining issue is that the parent
passed to plot is interpreted as an hggroup not an hgtransform. In MATLAB it
can be either and the object type is tested to determine which it is. I am
struggling to find Octave documentation that defines the semantics of the
'parent' graphical property. The important question is whether or not it is
consistent with MATLAB, group or transform, or defined as being just a group.
