Follow-up Comment #16, bug #45864 (project octave):
I forgot about this bug, but bug #55143 is clearly a duplicate of this one.
I'll try to pick up here again in the Xmas holidays.
In the mean time I think this issue deserves a higher priority than low plus
severity of just "Wish"; IMO it isn't a feature request but rather a bug.
