Follow-up Comment #10, bug #54661 (project octave):

Yes, strread() had the bug fixed with bug #44750.  So that is why I wondered
about "bug #44750?" appearing in the source code.  In all the changeset I've
attached and so on, I've immediately deleted the comment from


    if (multiple_delims_as_one)           // bug #44750?
      skip_delim (is);


It seems like something someone took a guess at after the fact.
