Follow-up Comment #13, bug #54622 (project octave): The documentation for importdata isn't that great. See Matlab's documentation at http://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/importdata.html. The field 'textdata' contains row and column headers. For a pure data file like this, I would expect to have textdata be empty.
