Follow-up Comment #161, bug #54235 (project octave):

The minimal build really will be petite.  For reference, the previous
successfulSolaris build with 4.9.2 used


./configure --without-opengl --without-qt --without-fltk --disable-java
--without-magick --without-fontconfig --without-freetype 


Assuming your minimal build completes you could jump to this configure line.

If that works, the next step would be to remove '--without-freetype'.  That
will probably fail, but there is probably something to fix in the configure
script at that point.
