Follow-up Comment #112, bug #54235 (project octave):

I did:

# ggrep -Rl ZmIIxER6MArrayIT_ES3_RKS1 liboctave libinterp src
liboctave/.libs/liboctave.so.5
liboctave/.libs/liboctave.so
liboctave/.libs/liboctave.so.5.0.0
liboctave/numeric/.libs/libnumeric.a
liboctave/numeric/.libs/liboctave_numeric_libnumeric_la-qrp.o
#

"On my system, there are no objects that reference that symbol."

Well that's odd then. On mine there are three (or maybe two if there lines
for liboctave all reference liboctave_numeric_libnumeric)

"I would look at the source code to try to see why it would be referenced, and
maybe try to see if something has changed in that source file or related to
why that symbol was not a problem in the last build."

I hate to ask a dumb question, but where is the source code? For example, I
looked in octave-4.4.0x/liboctave/numeric but only found references to
liboctave_numeric_libnumeric_la-qrp.lo.

"If you still have the previous build,"

No, that got overwritten when I did this one.
