Follow-up Comment #13, bug #48678 (project octave):
What should be in LFLAGS?
For now, I think we should just make sure that the outputs of pkg-config and
mkoctfile agree.
Longer term, we could have mkoctfile call pkg-config to get the info it needs,
and to handle the -p options. However, it will take some time to eliminate
the -p option from mkoctfile since it was recommended in the past and is
widely used.
