Follow-up Comment #5, bug #54169 (project octave):
I think the proposed patch is OK as a quick fix, but it doesn't prevent
someone from later registering the fltk toolkit on a mac when the interpreter
is not running in the main thread. So longer term, maybe a better solution is
needed that really does check for the situation we are trying to avoid.
