Follow-up Comment #5, bug #54052 (project octave): Matlab R2017b (9.3.0.713579) 64-bit (glnxa64) Says: First declarit has to be made a .m file (I accidentally used declarit, not declereit). Then: ++ >> declarit (42) >> x = 12 x = 12 >> global x Warning: The value of local variables may have been changed to match the globals.
