Details:

I have problem with the characters' visualization of the command window space
and editor's space (other sections works).
I can only visualize the upper part of characters in a row.
I attach two screenshot to better show the problem.
I use two monitors ad it happens in both of them. I run Octave on Ubuntu 16.04
LTS 64 bit
Processor: Intel Core i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20 GHz x8
Graphics: Intel Sandybridge Mobile

I tried to unistall and install again, but the problem is still present.
