Follow-up Comment #2, bug #53700 (project octave): Hmmmm, :-| What library are we looking at? When I installed all the packages needed to make Octave build, I did a search for ARPACK and picked whatever appeared in the Muon (is it?) package manager. I see nothing there about 3.x.x series.
