Follow-up Comment #2, bug #53657 (project octave):
Ctrl+Shift+F works, but Ctrl+G and Ctrl+Shift+G and Esc don't do anything, and
they aren't listed in the preferences either.
Only Ctrl+F works if the editor window is floating
I tested with https://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/octave/octave-4.3.90.tar.lz
