Follow-up Comment #28, bug #53520 (project octave): @Philip:Did you receive the email with the link to the zip? I downloaded and installed your version. Weird thing is that it crashes when I try to start it with octave.bat and doesn't seem to do anything with the .vbs. However, when I start "octave-cli.exe", Java 10 loads correctly: octave:1> version -java ans = Java 10+46 with Oracle Corporation Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM mixed mode octave:2> javaObject ("java.lang.Double", 9.0) ans = <Java object: java.lang.Double> Still unsure whether my Windows or Java is somehow special.
