Follow-up Comment #2, bug #53555 (project octave):
I would like to use https everywhere, but just as an advisory, Mercurial with
https may fail for some users with an older Python 2.7.
I know from experience that 'hg clone
https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave' fails on Ubuntu 14.04 with Python
2.7.6, and only works after installing a newer Python 2.7.
