is applied.  This is the March 23 version.  I think it is the best that can be
done, as I suspect we're going to get bug reports in any situation.  Give it a
try on KDE/Plasma on the stable branch.  If it works for you, great.  If not,
as you suggested I think we just apply it an move forward.  I've added a
comment in the NEWS file about this bug in hopes that some builders/users
might realize they could have a problem.
