Follow-up Comment #7, bug #52935 (project octave): Philip, thanks for confirming that. The attached patch adds "winqueryreg" to core Octave. I could mostly copy the 'name' part from what John already had. I am not sure where to put the DOCSTRING. I chose the section with functions that access environment variables. But it doesn't really fit there. Anyone a better idea? I'll also attach an oct-file version of this function that can be used in the meantime.
