Follow-up Comment #38, bug #52775 (project octave): I can confirm Guillaume's observation with Texinfo 4.13. With such a simple document, it doesn't warn and it produces an empty info file with no error. I'm now playing with making the document a little more complex to see what the bare minimum is to get it to error.
