Follow-up Comment #2, bug #51901 (project octave):

Marshall - to clarify, bug #49529 was reported by someone using one of the
4.2.0 release candidates, but the bug was fixed on the development branch, so
it did not go into the 4.2 stable updates branch. Our bug tracker doesn't
always give you enough information on its own to know what version a bug fix
will have showed up in, you have to cross reference with the hg repository.
