Follow-up Comment #19, bug #51632 (project octave):
Nicholas: Regarding your statement in comment #6 that
cd %OCTAVE_HOME%
works, it only "works" because % is a comment character, so this expression is
equivalent to calling "cd" without any arguments, which, in Octave, changes to
the home directory.
