Follow-up Comment #8, bug #50012 (project octave):
Andreas confirmed privately that the "issue" with "ode45" was actually a
"feature" :
in short, the chosen algorithm trades accuracy on the derivatives of
interpolated values for efficiency and is compatible with matlab, so it does
not need to be changed.
I pushed Andreas' fix for ode23 with this changeset:
