Follow-up Comment #21, bug #50068 (project octave):

Octave in an all-volunteer effort.  Because of that, there is no guarantee
that any particular bug report will be investigated, and if it is
investigated, no guarantee that it will be resolved or on what kind of
schedule it might get reviewed.

If you do need certainty, consider either 1) paid support such as that listed
at https://www.gnu.org/software/octave/commercial-support.html, or 2)
performing your own investigations since 100% of the source code is available
through the Mercurial repository.
