Follow-up Comment #16, bug #50124 (project octave):

So it now seems that there are multiple incompatibilities.  First, the fact
that the second column of values is not sorted correctly.  Second, for Matlab
compatibility, results should be exact conjugates.  This is documented by The
Mathworks:


The complex conjugate pairs are forced to be exact complex conjugates


Third, the tolerance needs to be in the range 0 <= tol <= 1 and probably the
algorithm in cplxpair.m updated as well.
