Follow-up Comment #2, bug #49765 (project octave):

Looks like a call to this may be the right call:


SHGetKnownFolderPath (FOLDERID_Profile, 0, 0, &str);


If someone is willing to test a patch (build mxe-octave, install, and test),
we can see if adding this to oct-env.cc helps here.
