Follow-up Comment #27, bug #49609 (project octave): By the way, I am occasionally unable to break out of a "while true; end" loop in the GUI. The octave-gui process goes to 100% and Ctrl+C does nothing. Still, does not crash my desktop environment. It's probably better to test with a different example that can be interrupted more reliably like "pause(10)".
