Follow-up Comment #2, bug #49708 (project octave):
Ok, I was mis-remembering. You're right, I think I saw that the default was 2.
I deleted the qt-settings file and the tab spacing was 2 as expected.
What originally started my griping about this was the fact that the first time
I used Octave, when I pressed the tab button it only moved by one space. I
swear that even after changing the tab spacing option and re-starting, I
wasn't getting anything more than one space. When I selected multiple lines
and tabbed I got 2 spaces no matter what.
But today everything seems to be working so I'm thoroughly confused.
