Follow-up Comment #7, bug #49547 (project octave):
Do you think any of these problems are Octave build system problems?
I still don't understand fully, but I suspect this is all a gentoo packaging
configuration issue that can be resolved with the right set of codependent
packages installed.
Is there anything you think Octave needs to do differently? I haven't seen it
yet.
