Please try asking for help on the help mailing list, you will be able to get
better feedback and discussion from other users. See
http://www.octave.org/support for details. Try to include details about your
algorithm, including expected time, complexity, and memory usage. For example,
if too much memory or swap space is being consumed by Octave, Ctrl+C may not
be of much use.
There are some known open bug reports about Ctrl+C problems, especially on
non-GNU operating systems. See for example bug #44470.
