Follow-up Comment #2, bug #47974 (project octave):

The issue with the Plot_comparison page on the wiki is that it has not been
run in a long time and some of the issues are fixed or out of date.  Also,
that page is generally concerned about differences between Octave and Matlab. 
This report is about differences within Octave from the exact same code, but a
different toolkit.
