I saw this the other day, and forgot to submit a bug.

The io package will fail to cross compile as it attempts to use mkoctfile
rather than using the MKOCTFILE variable.

The Makefile in io/src should change to MKOCTFILE ?= mkoctfile so that if wont
set it if it is externally set.
