Follow-up Comment #37, bug #43298 (project octave):

Since I just pushed the fix for bug #41178, I assume solving this one will be
next for OSX users.

What I'm hoping for is an approach similar to the solution for bug #40436,
with a configure.ac check that determines whether the std::pow error is
present or not. As I said before, see the OCTAVE_CHECK_BROKEN_STL_ALGO_H macro
for something to base this on.
