Follow-up Comment #1:
Hi, thanks for your detailed bug report. The backtrace shows that the segfault
is occuring in the qrupdate library installed in /usr/local/lib. By the path I
can assume this is not the qrupdate from the Ubuntu repositories, did you
build it yourself and for a specific reason? Does moving that library out of
the way fix the segfault?
